A beautiful way to honour Cameryn’s memory.
Mason and Shayleen Harris and Mandy Barnes from Cameryn’s Cause for Kids recently visited the Campbell River Hospital Maternity Department with a generous donation supporting the purchase of three important pieces of equipment: a telemetry monitor, laryngoscope, and stethoscopes for Maternity and Pediatrics.
Mason and Shayleen founded Cameryn’s Cause for Kids Society in 2007 in memory of their daughter, Cameryn Harris, who passed away at just three years old. Since then, the Society has provided meaningful support to local families during some of their most difficult moments, helping ease the financial burden when a child is experiencing a health crisis or when a family is grieving the loss of a child.
Each year, Cameryn’s birthday is an opportunity to celebrate her life and the impact her memory continues to have in our community. This year, that celebration included helping care for some of our hospital’s smallest patients.
We are incredibly grateful to Mason, Shayleen, Mandy, and everyone behind Cameryn’s Cause for Kids for turning Cameryn’s memory into care, compassion, and support for local families.
