Campbell River Italian Cultural Society Steps Up for Local Healthcare
Once again, the Campbell River Italian Cultural Society is putting community spirit into action, this time contributing $2,750 towards a new Transport Ventilator.The HAMILTON-T1 is a portable, intensive-care-grade ventilator built to support patients of every age, from newborns through to adults. Its role is a specialized one: keeping critically ill patients safely and continuously ventilated while they’re moved within the hospital or transferred to another healthcare facility. That uninterrupted respiratory support can make all the difference during some of the most vulnerable moments of a patient’s care.
The donation was made possible through proceeds from the Society’s Italian Picnic held this past July at Miracle Beach, a community favourite event. Contributions like this highlight what’s possible when a community comes together around a shared cause. The Campbell River Italian Cultural Society continues to show how grassroots fundraising can translate directly into better-equipped care teams and improved outcomes for patients close to home.
