We had the privilege of attending a gathering hosted by the Rotary Club of Campbell River where we expressed our heartfelt appreciation for their unwavering support of the March for Children. This cherished event has been a staple in Campbell River since 1994, raising an impressive sum of over $455,000 for the maternity and pediatric department of the Campbell River Hospital.
This year the money raised will go towards the purchase of a Panda Warmer, which helps monitor babies born by C-Section be safely transported from the Operating room to the patients rooms. With an average of 170 C-Sections and 400 babies born each and every year in Campbell River, these items are invaluable to our staff to ensure that they are able to take care of each and every baby to the best of their ability.
In rain, snow and wind, the members of the Rotary Club stand every year on busy intersections, collecting donations with a smile on their faces.
The collaboration between the Rotary Club of Campbell River and the Campbell River Daybreak Rotary in this event, shows their passions for strength and dedication. We extend our deepest gratitude for their consistent support year after year.
We also had the pleasure of having some of our volunteer board members attend the event, some of which are also Rotary members, but all are involved in helping raise the funds from this event.
Thank you all for your support, it means the world to us.
