First Open Heart Society of Campbell River helps purchase echocardiography machine.

The First Open Heart Society – Campbell River Chapter has made a generous donation of $20,000 to support the purchase of the latest Echocardiography Machine for our Heart and Lung Department at the Campbell River Hospital.
This state-of-the-art equipment employs high frequency waves to provide essential diagnostic capabilities, significantly enhancing cardiac care at our facility.
By positioning a transducer on the patient’s chest and directing it towards the heart, this advanced technology emits high-frequency sound waves and captures their echoes, converting them into electrical impulses. These impulses are then transformed into dynamic images of the heart, enabling our medical professionals to make accurate diagnosis and informed treatment decisions.
The First Open Heart Society is a remarkable group of individuals who share a deep passion for giving back to the heart health community. We encourage you to reach out to them, as they are actively seeking new members who can help expand their impact and contribute to raising even more funds to further enrich healthcare in our community.
