Campbell River Italian Cultural Society Donates Critical Medical Equipment to Campbell River Hospital
The Campbell River Italian Cultural Society has taken a proactive step in enhancing local healthcare by donating funds towards the purchase of a Glidescope for the Respiratory Therapy Department at the Campbell River Hospital.
The Glidescope, a vital piece of airway management equipment, plays a pivotal role in providing physicians and Respiratory Therapists with the means to effectively manage routine procedures as well as respond swiftly to emergent airway situations. By offering a quick and confident solution, the Glidescope contributes to better patient outcomes and reduced airway trauma risks.
The funds for this equipment were raised through the Society’s Annual Italian Picnic held at Miracle Beach. The event drew support from the community, with approximately 260 tickets sold. Attendees enjoyed delicious spaghetti and sausage meals served by their members.
This donation is a testament to the power of community collaboration in making a meaningful impact on healthcare accessibility and quality. The Campbell River Italian Cultural Society’s support sets an example for others to follow, demonstrating how local initiatives can have a lasting positive impact on patient care.
