Cameryn’s Cause donates to the smallest patients

Cameryn’s Cause recently came into the office with a very generous donation towards a jaundice meter for the pediatric department at the Campbell River Hospital.
Jaundice is seen in 30-60% of full-term newborns an din nearly all premature infants, and occurs when a baby develops high levels of bilirubin, a byproduct of the normal breakdown of red blood cells. A Jaundice Meter is a reliable, non-invasive methods for screening babies for jaundice, it streamlines the screening practice by eliminating time-consuming blood draws and laboratory work.
Cameryn’s Cause for Kids Society provides financial assistance to local families when they have a child facing a health crisis. With the help of the people in our community, they to date have been able to help more than 350 families.
Thank you for this amazing donation, we appreciate what you do, and this Jaundice Meter will be an amazing addition to our smallest patients.
