About Us

The Campbell River Hospital Foundation

The Campbell River Hospital Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to raising funds to support our hospital and Yucalta Lodge through equipment purchase, staff education and capital projects that help enhance the service and treatment of patients and residents.

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and bestows grants for equipment, health education and other projects. The role of the Board is to manage the Foundation funds prudently and to raise funds that will ensure the long term preservation of quality health care in Campbell River.

Vancouver Island Health Authority

The Campbell River Hospital Foundation is a fundraising partner with the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA), one of the largest health organizations in Canada.

We consult with VIHA every year to determine the highest priorities in medical equipment needs for Campbell River Hospital -serving 54,000 people in North Vancouver Island.  We fund approximately 18% of priority medical equipment purchases for our hospital every year.
